5 Celebrities Who Met On a Blind Date

According to certain sources, over a quarter of newly married couples met on a blind date. But you would never think celebrities would go for blind dating, right? Surely they meet attractive, famous people all the time?  Surprisingly, there are quite a few known couples which met on a blind date.

1. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski

The couple met through another celebrity who thought they were both funny and that they would fit well together. Who was the celebrity matchmaker? Anne Hathaway, who became friends with Emily Blunt during the shooting of “The Devil Wears Prada”. John was not looking for a relationship but clearly could not resist Emily. They are now married and have two daughters.

2. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

A friend of Meghan set her up with the prince but did not tell her who he was. Meghan claimed she said she would only go for a date if the date was a nice guy. Well, we all know how that ended – and many of you probably even watched their royal wedding. Fast forward, the couple is now happily – and royally – married and they have a very cute boy.

3. Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman

The same year Anne Hathaway set up Emily and John together, she was also set up by her own friends on a blind date during the Palm Springs Film Festival. Although Anne was still suffering from a broken heart after ending things with her ex-boyfriend, she knew from the first date that she would marry Adam. The couple is now married and they have a boy.

4. Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady

Do models go on a blind dates? Sure they do! Gisele went on several blind dates and she was close to giving up, until she finally met Tom. They say it was love at first sight. They are now married and have two children.

5. Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid

She’ll probably be there for him, when the rain starts to pour. But it started when Courteney met Johnny via world-famous Ed Sheeran. Apparently they used to be roommates and Ed introduced Courteney to Johnny in 2013. The rest is history, of course.
